NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
TOWN OF RED HOOK
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that a public hearing will be held by the Town Board of the Town of Red Hook on September 12, 2023 at 7:35 P.M. local time, to hear all interested persons on a proposed Local Law No. F (Proposed) of 2023 entitled ““A LOCAL LAW AMENDING CHAPTER 131 OF THE TOWN CODE ENTITLED VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC TO PROVIDE FOR REGULATION OF STOP INTERSECTIONS AND CROSSWALKS AND EXCLUSION OF CERTAIN COMMERCIAL VEHICLES FROM SPECIFIED LOCAL HIGHWAYS”, to limit the operation of heavier trucks and similar vehicles ON certain highways in the Town which will benefit the health, safety, and welfare of the public while still providing suitable connection with all state routes entering or leaving the Town.
The Town Board has determined that the proposed local law is classified as an unlisted action under the State Environmental Quality Review Act (“SEQRA”).
PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that copies of said proposed Local Law are available for review at the Town Hall, 7340 South Broadway, Red Hook, New York 12571.
All interested persons will be given an opportunity to be heard, written comments may by sent by email in advance of the hearing to townclerk@redhookny.gov by 4:00 p.m. the day of the hearing. Please note “Local Law No. F (Proposed) of 2023” in the subject.
