Re: Recreation Park is Now Open!
The Rec Park is Now Open to the Public
It is with great pleasure that we let you know the Red Hook Recreation Park is again open to public. After substantial completion of a rejuvenation to the facility that includes new tennis, basketball, pickleball courts, a brand-new multi-purpose all accessible field with professional lighting, a new playground, renovated bathrooms (opening soon), we are happy to make the park available for the Labor Day holiday. Thanks to our staff, the many volunteers, the Red Hook Town Board and Dutchess County for their dedication in seeing this important investment in our community through.
This morning we were joined by the Triebel family for a dedication of the playground to Kathy, who helped us tremendously as a member of the all-important Red Hook Plays group. Afterwards, members of the Red Hook Town Board and Mayor Blundell were joined by County Executive Marc Molinaro for a ribbon cutting of the multi-purpose all accessible Sports Field with professional lighting.
Residents may also enjoy walking on Rec Park West, where a trailhead parking area, stone dust trail and another ballfield has been created.
Please enjoy the new amenities in a safe and
socially distant manner. Wishing you a healthy and happy weekend.
