NOTICE OF INVITATION FOR SEALED BIDS
Notice is hereby given that the Town of Red Hook will accept sealed bids for the 2021 Paving Project, expected to include the following roads: Albie Road, Elm Street, Beech Street, Chestnut Street, Fir Street, and Dogwood Street in the Town of Red Hook.
The bid specifications may be obtained from the Town Clerk’s office during regular business hours, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday by calling 845-758-4606 or emailing email@example.com. Bid specifications will be provided to bidders via email in PDF form, by mail, or by providing a prepaid UPS or Fed Ex account number. There is no deposit for obtaining a copy of the bid specifications.
All activities on site shall be consistent with State and Federal regulations. This job is subject to prevailing wages. Current wage rates are provided within the Bid Documents.
An opportunity for a pre-bid site visit will be held on Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at 9:00 a.m. at the Town Highway Garage. PLEASE NOTE that due to COVID procedures, all persons must be masked and observe 6-foot distancing, and all site visit activities will take place outdoors.
Sealed bids must be returned to the Town Clerk for the Town of Red Hook at 7340 South Broadway, Red Hook, NY, 12571, no later than 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 6, 2021. Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked “BID – 2021 Paving Project.” Bids must be accompanied by certified check or approved surety bond in the sum of 5% of the amount bid. The successful bidder will be required to provide payment and performance bonds in the amount of 100% of the value of the contract.
Important Notice: Please be advised that the Town Hall is currently closed to the public due to COVID measures. In person attendance will not be permitted inside the building. Bids should be submitted via mail, overnight delivery, or may be dropped through the Town Clerk’s mail slot in the front door of Town Hall. Emails, telegrams, facsimile, or telephone bids will not be considered. The Town will not be responsible for any delay in receipt of bids. Bids will be opened and publicly read aloud immediately thereafter at the Town Hall. The bid opening will be held outside Town Hall, or in the event of inclement weather will be recorded and made available to bidders upon request to the Town Clerk.
The Town Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids and re-advertise.
