NOTICE OF INVITATION FOR SEALED BIDS
Notice is hereby given that sealed bids for the construction of the “Town of Red Hook, Well No. 1 and Well No. 2 Rehabilitation and Level Sensor Installation” will be received by the Town of Red Hook t at the office of the Town Clerk, Town Hall, 7340 South Broadway, Red Hook, NY 12571 until 2:00 p.m. local time on July 28, 2021 at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read. Sealed Bids must have outer envelope marked as “Town of Red Hook, Well No. 1 and Well No, 2 Rehabilitation and Level Sensor Installation.”
Bids must be accompanied by certified check or approved surety bond in the sum of 5% of the amount bid.
The work consists of rehabilitation of the Town Water District No. 1’s existing two wells and installation of a level sensor terminating at a junction box at the top of the well heads. Bids shall be on a lump sum and unit price basis, as indicated in the Bid Form.
Bidding Documents may be obtained electronically from the Town of Red Hook, Town Clerk at TownClerk@redhook.org, 845-758-4606, by mail, or by providing a prepaid UPS or Fed Ex account number. Bidding documents may also be examined at the office of the Town Clerk, Red Hook Town Hall 7340 S Broadway, Red Hook, New York between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, legal holidays excluded.
A non-mandatory pre-bid site visit will be held on July 21 at 3:00 p.m. at the Red Hook Wellfield at the end of Willow Brook Lane in Red Hook. PLEASE NOTE that due to COVID procedures, all unvaccinated persons must be masked and observe 6-foot distancing, and all site visit activities will take place outdoors.
Prevailing Wage Rates as determined by the NYS Department of Labor under the provisions of New York State Labor Law, as amended, apply to this project.
The Town Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids and re-advertise.
